Computers in the Workplace

 The industry I will be talking about is technology in healthcare. In healthcare technology is there to help out doctors look at our medical records, now that is done digitally. They no long have to wake weeks for a fax or the papers for our records. But also,it allows our doctors to see us remotely and be able to prescrible some medicine that wayl instead of meeting face to face. With some people remote visits are essential. One thing I learned that I seen on shows and articles is that they are using robotics in surgical procedures.  Which is an amazing tool for us so our doctors can get to places on our bodies. I did find 3D bioprinting the most reward out of these, because it allow’s they patient to get the prosthetic they are wanting or the vision they see for them selves moving forward. 3D printing gives people that hope and ability to create something cool. AI is taking over , I just purchased a new iphone 16 which has AI installed and when I am sending out a text it will already have what it thinks I want to say. I am excited to see where AI takes us in the next ten years.

Traveling Through a Network

  Part 1  I pinged google.com, verizon.com, Netflix.net and Netflix.com.  When I was trying to ping other countries it was a little confusing my being able to ping google compared to Verizon the pings , there was no packet loss, transmitted over 12 and received all 12. When I pinged Netflix.net and .com there was 100% packet loss and none received.  Ping and tracroute can be used to troubleshoot since ping can test the reachability of a device on the network and trace route is good for tracing network problems, discovering connections failures, and tracking down latency problems.  A ping or trace route command may time out because the target host has been down or unable to be reached or the network path being congested.

Web/Mobile App Critique

  The mobile app I am familiar with would be the mail app on ios devices preferably the iphone. I review my mail almost every 2 hours because I have a variety of things coming in or that I need to send out. The mail app features are accessing multiple email accounts, reading and or replying to messages, being able to search/ filter the email and organize the emails. Usability: The mail app provides a person the ability to compose a message, read a email, organize their emails and delete emails. I just learned the apple mail is not intended for a business email management and maybe limited in certain areas.   Design: The Apple mail did get a huge update with ios 18.2 where features like categorization, contact photos and a new inbox layout. I personally find the new layout overwhelming and very confusing. So I keep mines at the old feature which ios allows you to go back and forth between.
